Ron Fox, Ph.D., MFT
Education & Professional Experience
My Masters (M.A.) is in Counseling Psychology (1984) and my Doctorate (Ph.D.) is in Clinical Psychology (1993), both from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. CIIS is an internationally known fully accredited professional graduate school with an East-West approach to the study of psychology. I feel fortunate to have attended an institution with an approach to education and psychotherapy that is so in tune with my interests in humanistic, holistic, and transpersonal psychology.
My masters degree focus was in marriage and family therapy, and my doctoral degree specialization was in clinical psychology. In 1986, I was licensed as a California Marriage and Family Therapist (Lic. #MFC22194). I have also pursued specialized training in clinical supervision, receving a certificate as a CAMFT Certified Supervisor. In addition, to my private practice, I have worked as a therapist and clinical supervisor in several SF Bay Area commmunity mental health agencies, and I have presented workshops and clinical trainings in the area of human sexuality for agencies and at professional conferences as well.
I am a member (fellow) of the American Psychological Association (APA), a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
